Welcome to AlabamaAtheist.OrgWhy do people misunderstand Atheism? Are the taboos of Atheism a result of misconceptions, misunderstandings, and myths? I did not design AlabamaAtheist.Org to de-convert. The purpose of AlabamaAtheist.Org is to educate about Atheism and Atheists. It is my hope to eliminate preconceived biases about Atheism and Atheists, which have persisted throughout history and into modern times. Even in this modern world of information super highways, we face misinformation about people, cultures, religions, etc., which often leads to bigotry, racism, and prejudice.
I created AlabamaAtheist.Org in the hopes of dispelling those misconceptions, misunderstandings, and myths about Atheism and Atheists. I want this to be easy. Visitors should not need a doctorate in philosophy or theology to understand the concepts I present. It is my desire to accomplish these goals through "Q & A" with visitors, debates, articles, editorials, and other sections. Most of my answers are geared toward Christianity because I live in a predominantly Christian country. My biggest "fan base" are Christian proselytizers emailing me warnings of Hell and damnation (often laced with hate and death threats). It is rare that non-Christian religions contact me. I am open to comments, suggestions, questions, or rebuttals. If you have anything to submit, then please do so by sending me an email. Because of the volume of email I receive I may not be able to respond, but I do read every email I receive. Thanks for visiting! In reason, Blair Scott
