To strengthen atheism at all levels, American Atheists has an Affiliation Program for local and national organizations. Groups which choose voluntary and free affiliation receive:

Free affiliate listing on the American Atheists Web Page.

* Free announcement of local events whenever and wherever possible.

* Assistance in arranging on-going programs.

* Free affiliate subscription to the American Atheist Magazine.

* Assistance in setting up new local organizations.

* 20% discount at the American Atheist Store for affiliate purchases over $50

* Reduced convention registration fee for members of Affiliates.

* Free affiliate meeting at the American Atheists annual convention.

* 20% first-year membership discount for members of affiliates.

If we do not stand up to religious oppression and the constant attacks on the Establishment Clause, then we are willingly allowing theocracy through complacency and inaction.

This is where affiliation with American Atheists plays a vital role. It is important for groups to keep in contact, work together, and aspire toward the common goals of Atheist civil rights, true Freedom of Religion, and maintaining the Establishment Clause. We all have personal differences and opinions regarding social matters, activism methods, and other details, but we all share those common goals. Together, united in our common goals, we can achieve them.

Affiliation with American Atheists means that the affiliate agrees with the stated goals of American Atheists. Affiliates are under no obligation to agree with everything American Atheists does because we know there will be differences of opinion. Affiliation provides every affiliate with benefits, such as discounts at the American Atheists Store, Convention fees, and more. Affiliation gives affiliate members the chance to become members of American Atheists at a reduced rate.

Affiliation provides Affiliates the chance to work with and help American Atheists and vice versa. Affiliates, along with their respective American Atheists' State Directors, are the eyes and ears of American Atheists at the state level: keeping track of illegal legislation, violations of Atheist civil rights, and helping us fight against religious oppression. Affiliates may also assist with the American Atheists Annual Convention held each year over Easter weekend, when the Convention is held in their respective state.
